Waves are usually seen as huge - why small?

If you've stumbled upon the term "third wave coffee", you'll come to know that there's something called the coffee wave. 

At Small Waves Coffee Roasters, we hope to bring you a great coffee experience, no matter which wave you're at. We hope to bring you back to the start, where coffee was first discovered, all the way up to now, where origins is very much highlighted and lighter roasts are known to bring out the citrus and sweet notes that comes from the coffee cherry. 

If you're not sure what's the difference between Robusta and Arabica, a dark or light roast, Ethiopian or Brazilian origins, we're happy to take you through an exciting tasting journey.

Starting small, we will be retailing small-batch roasted coffee on our e-commerce store. As we grow, we envision to have a place where the residents around our vicinity will be our regulars, and hope to build a community and place where everyone is comfortable to hang out at, get their daily dose, meet people, have heart conversations. This will be our first coffeeshop.

Beyond Singapore, and with our experience, we're definitely looking to grow, to a variety of countries where locals are keen to set up their own coffeeshops, or the nearest city to a coffee farm where we have connections with the families or tribes. If the next generation are interested and are entrepreneurial, we look to support them to opening and running their own coffeeshop, whether taking on our brand as a franchise, or building their own brand, empowering their livelihoods by providing them the tools they need to flourish.

So - Small Waves, because we hope to start small, and slowly but surely with many more in the region and beyond, we hope to be - like small waves - bring forth change to impact lives, both at each coffeeshop and farm, an empowerment of individuals in the coffee chain.
